Work in progress in Paddington today, and this space is already starting to come alive 💕

Floor to ceiling velvet in the softest blush, puddling gently onto the boards. There's a real richness to it, the kind of finish that changes how a whole room feels.

This one is still very much a work in progress. Ladders up, boxes everywhere, the team moving through every detail. But you can already see where it's heading.

It's a proper team effort behind an install like this. Our designer shaping the vision, our workroom bringing it to life, and the office coordinating every last detail so it all comes together on the day.

Get the light right and a good room becomes a great one. In this stunning Avalon home, we installed linen blend sheers in a soft S-fold running the length of the sliding doors, so the afternoon sun comes through filtered rather than harsh.

Either side of the fireplace, Roman blinds do the practical work. They soften the light from the windows on each side of the TV, so it's not in your eyes when you're enjoying time on the couch.

Sheer curtains might be what we're known for. But it's not all we do.

We've installed a Roman blind with a stripe that just works. Floor-to-ceiling drama in crimson velvet for a commercial space that needed to make a statement. Classic pinch pleat curtains in a heritage room that deserved nothing less. Linen sheers wrapping an entire kitchen and dining room, corner and all. There's no better feeling than a call from a client you worked with years ago. We first fitted out this home five years ago. Last month the owners called Rachelle back to take care of the rooms they hadn't got around to the first time.

For stage two we used a combination of approaches. Where they wanted maximum flexibility, we went with sheers and blockout blinds layered behind - beautiful filtered light during the day and complete darkness when they need it. In rooms where daytime privacy was less of a concern, blockout roller blinds did the job perfectly.

When someone trusts you with their home twice, you want to make sure the new rooms feel just as considered as the ones you did before. We think we pulled it off.
