From Salone del Mobile in Milan, a few clear directions are emerging for interiors.

Colour is back in a confident way, especially through warm tones like orange used as accents across kitchens, furniture, and even bathrooms.

Lighting is playing a much bigger role in joinery design, not just for function, but to shape the mood of a space. Integrated lighting inside cabinetry and beneath benchtops was everywhere.

Bathrooms are also shifting, with more personality coming through in sanitaryware. Think coloured finishes, printed basins, and layered patterns.

It’s a move towards spaces that feel more considered, more expressive, and far less neutral.

A warm chestnut sofa, organic shaped coffee table, textured rug and statement artwork brought this space together.

Furniture gives you function.
Styling gives you depth.

This bedroom was designed and furnished. The layout worked. The pieces were right.

But without styling, it felt flat.

This is the stage many people skip. The budget feels spent, the bed is in place, and the room looks “good enough.”

Good enough isn’t finished.

Styling is not an afterthought. It’s a deliberate final layer that brings balance, warmth and personality to a space.
