Founded in 2006, Lenard Design Associates is an award-winning design firm based in Sydney, Australia and specialising in delivering beautiful retail projects and high-end residential design around the world. On the back of our success at developing concept designs and rollouts for respected Australian retail brands such as Cue, Oroton, Bras N Things and Rebel, as well as international brands like

Chantecaille, Simone Perele, Elie Tahari, Loewe and Vodafone, LDA has made its mark in Australia and abroad. Our project list includes a diverse range of designs from nightclubs in Sydney’s Kings Cross to showrooms in NYC, award-winning furniture and department store environments around the world. In late 2018 LDA started to focus on residential projects and have already completed numerous designs including a beach house on Australia's NSW South Coast, a luxury cottage in Southern Ontario, Canada, and a small residential development on Australia's Mid-north Coast. We are also currently working on a few high end projects dotted throughout Sydney's Eastern and northern suburbs.

I’ve heard complaints that I haven’t posted enough on this project but I’ve just been so absorbed with making sure everything goes exactly as planned. This was a big week with the scaffolding coming down (until it goes up again in a couple months!) and the steel stair going in… I’ll try to post again next week.

It was a dream come true to recently visit our latest completed project in Canada and see my design realised! Many thanks to our fabulous clients Laurence Neil Smith and Toba Hamersfeld for investing the time and $$$! to complete this amazing "Passive House" on a fabulous picturesque lakeside property in Southern Ontario, Canada. Besides being quite nice to look at (in my opinion) and surpassing the client's functional expectations (in their opinion!), it includes an abundance of sustainable technology that Laurence and I researched at length, to make this home comfortable and energy efficient in even the most extreme weather that Canada can throw at it. All the while, capturing the magnificent beauty of it's surroundings from every room and vantage point. I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity to work on this amazing home and am so proud of these results...
