It's that time of year. The echoing squawks of channel-billed cuckoos have our neighbourhood currawongs and magpies on edge. Even the cockies are feeling the tension.

The night parrot has kept a very low profile since it was thought to have become extinct in the early 1900s. This artwork looks at how they have managed to turn back the clock...a bit.

My final birdy for this year's National Bird Week Exhibition exhibition: JOURNEY is a well-travelled little stunner, the silvereye. They are found in all but one territory of mainland Australia (and Tassie), so I have included the state floral emblems of where it can be found and gorgeous golden wattle, our national emblem.
