Are these paint pens any better than a POSCA the market leader? Let’s check them out….

After sharing a few paint pen reviews and handy tips and hacks I was contacted by a new product to me SurfPaints and invited to reviewbtheir pens.

Their only instruction was: “Use them the way you normally would.” That sounded perfect to me.

I regularly reach for paint pens to add fine lines, crisp outlines and those final finishing details, so I’m putting these to the test on an unfinished painting from my modern botanicals series.

My first impressions?

The coverage is strong, the paint flows beautifully and the tip feels surprisingly similar to using a brush. So far, I’m really enjoying them—but the true test will be seeing how they perform on my painting….
