Art inspired by Australian Botanicals & Nature. Painted by Sydney artist, Vickie Liu. Work available as original paintings, art prints, cards and tea towels.

Hi, I'm Vickie - the artist behind Studio KaKa Art. I live in Sydney, Australia and am inspired by Australian botanicals, landscapes and wildlife. My original paintings are created using acrylics , gouache or watercolour. I love painting using different mediums and playing with their contrasting characteristics; the bold colours of acrylics and gouache, and the soft nature of watercolours. If you have any questions or would like to commission an artwork please get in touch. Send me a message on Facebook or email at [email protected]

Thank you for stopping by!

I’m currently wrapping up the last of my commissions before I take a little holiday break ✈️

👼 I’ve been a bit quiet on insta this year while juggling life with a second bubba. Very sleep deprived but also very grateful for all the squishy cuddles.

💌 I’ll be pausing shop orders at the end of this week - last orders in by midnight Sunday 4 October please! Any orders placed after this date will be shipped out when I’m back in the studio on 2 November. Thank you so much for all your love and support!

A cute pair of Sydney prints heading out the door this week - from my watercolour range 🎨✨🌈

These artworks were some of the first illustrations I painted when I first started Studio KaKa and they’re still one of your favourites 🙏💖

Prints are available on my website

Day 3 - enjoyed a matcha latte with Thai milk tea basque cheesecake .syd while baby was sleeping. Felt very lucky to have this quiet moment to myself 🤩✨🌸

Day 2 - already a day or two behind but I’m trying to accept that I will be missing some days while balancing rest and my sanity 👼😴

A quick unfinished sketch which I might come back to 🌈🎨

Day 1 - I’ve been wanting to do the 100 day project where you pick something you want to make/ create for 100 days.

I’m currently still on mat leave and adjusting to life with 2 little ones so I think this is perfect! I’m going to commit to painting anything that sparks joy for 100 days for a minimum of 10 minutes a day!

Little baby Georgia is now 3 months old but somehow there’s barely any time to sit down and slow down. So I’m hoping this painting project will get the creative juices flowing again 👼

Here’s a small sketch from Day 1 - managed to get about 25 minutes in before baby woke up 😊

And just like that baby no.2 is here! Things have been quiet in the studio lately while I focus on getting Baby Gigi settled in 💖 It’s been a busy year juggling painting, a toddler and pregnancy life 🙈😊

Just a few things to note:
🌸 The online shop is still open for your orders! I’m running a STUDIO SALE for the next 5 days with 15% off Original Artworks and Prints. Discount auto applies at checkout and excludes artworks already on sale.
🌸 Commissions are currently closed and will reopen in April/ May 2026

Thanks so much for your support 🥰
