What April taught me 💁🏼‍♀️
April felt like a tipping point.
Not because everything suddenly became easy, but because I could finally feel the threads connecting between design, fashion, hospitality, art, storytelling and community.

This month was filled with conversations around materiality, craftsmanship and culture. From Material Matters discussions with and , to French wine evenings with friends who remind me how special Singapore’s creative and expat community really is. There were museum visits, long dinners, new friendships and moments that reinforced how much talent, knowledge and creativity exists within this city.

Professionally, April also brought some surreal moments. Atelier V&A being nominated for Best Showroom at the Tatler Homes Design Awards alongside my fab business partner . Being invited to style the Tatler Awards. Launching my first custom branded blazer thanks for trusting the creative process. Recording our first in the Dialogue Table series around Material Matters.

Exploring sustainability conversations through Eco Fashion Week and seeing how much further the industry still needs to go.

But more than anything, April reminded me that I am not simply building an interiors business.

I am building across space, objects, identity and culture.

And for the first time, that direction feels incredibly clear.

Thank you to everyone supporting, collaborating and believing in what we are building. The conversations, encouragement and community mean more than you know 🫶🏼

You can tell within 30 seconds whether a space truly understands hospitality. Marcy’s absolutely does.

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted like a friend rather than a booking. I mentioned the names of my two guests while waiting and when one arrived, the team welcomed her with “Hi, you must be Jo. Aisha is already seated, can I take you to her?” Such a small detail, but it completely changed the experience. Thoughtful, personal and genuinely warm.

Then you move deeper into the space and it unfolds theatrically. The red glow. Heavy curtains. Rich colours. Art layered across the walls. Chandeliers casting warmth across the room. It feels intimate, energetic and slightly unexpected all at once.
And this is what I keep thinking about lately with design, hospitality and brand experience.

The best spaces are never just visually beautiful. They create emotion. They make people feel something. They shape behaviour, conversation and memory.
The food at Marcy’s was exceptional. Crudo, Brussels sprouts, clams and of course a Negroni. Every plate felt considered without trying too hard. The service was phenomenal throughout. Attentive, warm, playful and deeply human.

Marcy’s understands that the best hospitality experiences are layered.

Thoughtful service, atmosphere, emotion, energy and beautifully considered details.

LOVE!

A little bold. Very much in good taste.

Seeing Green 💚 Thursday night new popup with

Some fun facts… Longchamp was founded in 1948 and named after the Longchamp Racecourse in Paris. The horse and rider come from there and have stayed ever since.

What I love is the story behind their green.
Longchamp’s Heritage Green has been part of the brand for decades and remains a core identifier. It is often described as representing energy and creativity, which ties back to that original idea of movement and pace.

Now it is starting to show up in a different way as well, linked to collections using recycled materials and a more considered approach to making.

75+ years on, the same colour still holds, just with more behind it.

Most brands choose a colour.
Longchamp inherited one.

I just love the stories behind brands, their founders and passions. May brands like this continue their purpose of heritage craftsmanship, with such a strong DNA!

FIRST ACCESS 🤭
I have been quietly working on a series of one-off blazers and pieces.
Each one is reworked from pre-loved materials and hand-finished. No two are the same. And I have loved how they make people feel when they wear them.
So…. I will be releasing new pieces in small drops, starting very soon. First through a private WhatsApp group….

If you would like early access, DM me “FIRST” and I will add you to the list 💁🏼‍♀️
Can’t wait to help make more people feel fabulous 🫶🏼

Birthday month memories 🎈
Grateful for all of it…
And especially for my oldmate who once again managed to top last year.
I don’t know how you do it ❤️

POWERFUL.
At the UOB Womenpreneurs event I arrived and was mic’d up, handed a whiteboard and asked to finish a sentence on camera:

“Womenpreneurs are ___ because ___.”

The first word that came to mind was powerful.
Not because we dominate, but because we hold each other up and keep showing up even when it feels uncomfortable.

The last few years, and Singapore, have really allowed me to step into my own power.
I keep finding myself grateful for what life keeps placing in front of me.

Thank you to everyone in my world 💫

A different kind of exhibition… David Hockney - BIGGER & CLOSER, not smaller & further away .imba

Not one you walk through but one you sit with. I lay on the floor for almost an hour (yes me in one spot for almost an hour).
Simple. One room. One 50 min loop.

You hear David’s thoughts while you see the world through his eyes.

He talks about looking. Really looking.
Sketching. Photographing. Painting not as outcome but as daily joy.

Sixty years of work & still curious.

The space at IMBA is new & still finding its atmosphere. A little raw. A little cold. Bring something warm. But if you enjoy hearing how an artist sees the world rather than just seeing the art, it is worth going.

I love experiences that make me think a little differently & a reminder that art does not need to be serious to be meaningful.

Look closely. Really look.

Also check out Botero - love his quote “a good artist searches for solutions. A great artist searches for problems.”

My first Lohei 🥢
Thank you Eunice and Vince for opening your home and welcoming me like family.
Such a beautiful way to experience Lunar New Year celebrations.
I loved learning how every ingredient carries a wish… the raw fish for abundance, noodles for longevity, golden crackers for prosperity,
vegetables for growth and renewal.
Then comes the best part… everyone stands, laughs and tosses it high together shouting “Lo hei! Huat ah!”

The higher the toss, the bigger the fortune.
Messy, joyful and super fun. you were brilliant!

The food was a complete feast and rolling sushi together felt like we were creating our own delightful bites. .of.art.sg everything you curate is artful 🤍

A fully immersive experience I will never forget 🥢🥢🐴🧧🥢🥢

Birthday in Bangkok — design, food and a little bit of spectacle.

Two Italian dinners (Bella Napoli & Chenin - add to the list - drool), Alonetogether, a jazz bar highlight, lots of Lunar New Year celebrations… Thailand really knows how to celebrate.

Met with Parin to talk through the new collection 🧥 and collected a piece for our .vanda March shoot.

❤️ David surprised me with Nobu for my birthday and the rooftop dining was STUNNING!

We stayed at Public House Sukhumvit 31 — quirky, cool and full of memorabilia & I loved working out of the co-working space.

A little bit of design with Still exhibition… mid-century favourites from Verner Panton, Viggo Boesen and Robin Day.

Two days, very full heart.

Year 49 already off to a beautiful start.

Thank you
