🌟almond

🌟chocolate 🍫

When you visit a bar there, they will ask you :

Con panna o senza panna?

Would ypu hae yours with or without whipped cream ??

🍅 Caponata Siciliana 🍆

A Sicilian side dish you can also have on bruschetta . 🤤 🥖

Warning ⚠️ Highly addictive on the following day- if there is anything left! 🙈

Everyone makes it a little different , but here is mine!!

Ingredients :

-2 medium/large eggplants
-500 gr diced potatoes
- 2 capsicums
-1 onion
- celery, olives , capers ( optional)
- 3 tbsp of tomato paste or passata
- touch of white vinegar , sugar and olive oil
-pine nuts
-salt to season

Method:

1.Start my shallow frying the potatoes first- thing takes the longest . Put aside.

2. Fry the eggplants next until golden and set aside.
3. Add onion and capsicum in the pan and add a touch of water - cover with lid. Cook 2 mins until softened.

3. Combine all the ingredients together back in pan on low heat . Add tomato paste , a touch of water , splash of olive oil and white vinegar .

4.Season with salt , pepper and touch of sugar . Cover with lid for 10 mins on low .

5.Enjoy!

Paste di Mandorla or Amaretti biscuits

I’m sure us southern Italians 🇮🇹 remember these , at every special celebration or definitely at nonna’s house!

I can’t believe how easy they were to make- I will be making these again 🤤

🇮🇹Gemellini con crema di zucchine e salsiccia con fi*****io - Pasta with Zucchini cream and Italian sausage with fennel seeds 🇮🇹

This recipe will feed 6 adult portions

Ingredients :

-3/4 zucchini
-600 gr of Italian sausages , can do without fennel!
-500gr of pasta of your choice - I recommend adding more pasta if you are feeding more people
- plenty of parmigiano cheese ☺️

Instructions:
1.Saute ‘ your diced zucchini with a garlic clove , add touch of salt pepper with a splash of water and cover until cooked . Pop everything in a blender for a luscious pesto looking cream
2. Take casing off and cook off sausages of low .
3. Combine the sausages and zucchini cream on low heat
4.Pour pasta in aldente and add parmigiano cheese and mix ! Pasta should be looking luscious and creamy!
