Happy new year 💜🎉 My goals for 2026 ⬇️

This year is about continuing my creative practice, and keeping my life honest and fulfilling.

I plan to:
✨ Show up, even when it gets difficult (but rest when needed...I do often take social media breaks)
✨ Push myself to try new techniques (I just bought a gelli plate! 🤗)
✨ Stay true to myself. (No fake BS for views... you get what you see with me.)
✨ Share with all of you (when people share their creations, it gives others the 'guts' to share their creations 💜)

Here’s to another year of fun. 🎉 Please drop me a DM or comment whenever... don't be shy.

What are your goals for 2026?

Hello my name is...
This work confronts a label many women have had imposed on them — often casually, often cruelly, often by men.

By presenting the slur as an introduction, the painting explores misogyny, identity, and the moment when an insult is absorbed, resisted, or reclaimed.
Rather than depicting confrontation, the image remains quiet and everyday. The casual clothing and neutral posture contrast with the violence of the language, reflecting how normalized these words have become — but still how heavy they can feel.

This is not shock art. It is a personal, feminist statement about being labelled.

Meet Poppies and Roses.

These two cuties are painted on 6x6 inch streched canvas, and both feature frames.

'Poppies' brings a lot of fun and light into any space with its bright orange flowers on a brightly lit background.
'Roses' is a mix of dramatic, romantic reds and blues.

Either of these two (or both) would bring joy to anyone's home and heart.

You can make them yours or gift them to someone special. They are both one of a kind, original paintings.

$160 each (shipping at buyers cost, pick up free and welcome)

I raise butterflies.
Sometimes, my daughter and I raise them together, watching each fragile creature emerge, we wait for the right moment to let go.

In my painting, my daughter is a child again. Standing at the edge of the canvas, watching the butterfly—not the viewer. Bright colours swirl around her, brushstrokes unblended, alive. A frozen moment of innocence.

Now, she is older. Changing.
Stronger, yet still delicate in ways only a mother notices.

I know time moves forward.
She is not that small girl anymore, yet in this painting, she will always be.
Curious. Gentle. Open-hearted... and as I look at it, I feel something settle deep inside me.
Pride.

For her. For who she is becoming. For what she carries with her as she grows.
And for this tiny, winged thing—so dainty, yet so strong — both of them about to fly free.

I painted for 4 hours today. I didn't wanna stop, but the housework needs doing and the light is gone because the clouds have rolled in 🌥☁️

I decided to frame my What Once Was Mine painting... I decided staining the frame would suit the overall feel/look better than painting it.

The stains I ordered arrived today and here's a photo of me trying them out on an old piece of wood. Bending down and looking at an angle let me see any shine.

I'm very happy with how the prep of the frame is going so far and I hope to finish it tomorrow (the stain will need a week to completely cure) then I'll put it all together and show you the result.

I just placed an order online to buy some wood stain/finishing products. I will use them to give the final touches to a frame for my 'What Once Was Mine' painting.

I usually just paint frames, so using these products will be a first for me. Wish me luck!

Do you remember the way your childhood toys felt in your hands?
For me, it was the threadbare ear of a teddy bear, or the silky ribbon on a doll’s dress — small details that felt like the whole world back then.

This painting is a love letter to those well-loved companions. The ones who listened without judgment, kept our secrets, and stood guard on the pillow beside us. Their eyes might be worn, their seams frayed, but the comfort they gave was pure magic.

What was your favourite childhood toy? And do you still remember how it felt to hold it?

Its been just over 2 weeks since I worked on this painting... I have been feeling a bit conflicted with my ideas about the teddy bear and how to paint it.

Today I watched Better Man, the Robbie Williams movie. It shows his self doubt throughout the story. It shows his endurance. He never gave up.

As soon as I'd turned off the t.v. I went and painted the teddy bear in my painting. 💜🧸

This is still a work in progress, its not yet finished. But I thought I'd show you today's progress.

What Once Was Mine.
Acrylic on stretched canvas.
