We stock a large range of electrical, automotive and lighting products. GCM’s Director Greg McCulloch has learned the electrical wholesale business from
the ground up, initially as an electrical contractor and then graduating into retailing
& wholesaling. After doing his apprenticeship in wholesaling with another wholesaler
for 12 years, Greg decided he needed a change and in July 1999, Greg an
d Jenny
bought GCM Auto Sales, a business in retailing/wholesaling of automotive lighting
and electrical products. By late 1999 GCM Auto Sales became GCM Lighting &
Electrical, servicing both the automotive and electrical industry and due to growth,
moved to premises in Hercules Street. As the business continued to expand, Greg
found a need to be more competitive and made application to Gemcell. On
acceptance to the group, Greg and Jenny continued to expand their business with
continued support and help from Gemcell, and in September 2004 moved to their
current premises which are customer oriented, with a large showroom displaying
products in 12v/24v, 220v, 240v/415v.
