About 3 weeks ago we got our biggest order from Karitane for the Volunteers at Volunteer family connect!
This program is something I truly hold close to my heart,
When I was freshly postpartum, I was struggling really bad mentally due to having a traumatic birth and having not much support around me apart from my husband
I became a part of the program, I have a volunteer that comes around every Tuesday for a couple of hours Vicki.
Whether it was to help me with my daughter while I cleaned a little, whether it was to help me clean, to get out of the house or just simply talk, she even helped sew a few things of Xanthe’s. Like clock work Vicki was there in a time that was truly challenging.
Although the program is ending, I just want to take a moment to thank the 3 ladies that made a huge impact in our life from this program and also all the other volunteers.
Thank you Kate, for coming over and sitting with me while I cried about “ failing “ , for assuring me that I hadn’t failed, and for carefully picking Vicki to be our Volunteer
Thank you Nycolle for calling and checking up on us every couple of months and coming and supporting our little business when your at markets, and also thinking of our little business to do this order
And lastly thank you Vicki for volunteering your time, for coming over and helping me and just being a rock when we need it
You guys do amazing work ! And I’m excited to see where you all end up next 🩵
