It is that time of year again where you need to get your wood heater cleaned and serviced. Most people don’t know the dangers of lighting your fire after a years use. Throughout my years of experience I have found blocked flues, birds nests, collapsed rusted cowls and flue pipes and even birds down the flue! When a flue is blocked off, it can cause your house to smoke out and create harmful fumes which no one wants. For the safety of yourself and others, it is recommended that you get your flue professionally inspected and cleaned yearly. By not doing so you are leaving a major fire hazard for your family home.
