Children have the wildest imagination, and have always wanted to turn their drawings into sculptural pieces. I have this project in mind for quite some time, and this year I finally get to make one of the most fun pieces. I brought up this idea in conversation with my friend and then found out her little bub loves drawing. I got her drawing of Te Ka from the animation Moana early this year and decided to turn it into a cookie jar. Nothing like seeing the reaction of a kid when realising her drawing is now a real object! 😃

I probably will continue on with this silly but fun project. If you have a toddler who loves drawing monsters, reach out. 😊

🎅🏼 💝🎄 What a year it has been! For me, this year definitely was an unpredictable one with all kinds of unforeseen events thrown at me. It surely has been a tough year to keep my head above water. I am pretty sure I am not the only person felt that way, especially with the pressure of living crisis. To move forward, I will have to make changes - Mr Billy Potter will take a step back next year, re-evaluate, re-invent, re-born. Many of the work I’ve created so far very unlikely will make a come back. It is a new chapter and a new direction to move forward in the new year. It is daunting and exciting at the same time. I guess I’ll never know until I try right?! But I do hope you will stay with me and continue to support my work.

Until then, I wish you all a Happy Christmas, stay safe and see you all in 2026!

I had a great time making this limited collection of Christmas Dreamtime cups. This year has been a tough year for me on the pottery front, as much as I enjoy making pottery, it is a business after all. I try not to increase the price too much, I won’t sleep well at night if I try to rip people off. As you follow my work you would understand they are intricate and take long time to make. But instead of justifying the time and effort I put into each piece, I just love making them and sharing the Christmas cheers with you all, so we all can enjoy it.
