We're genuinely excited to stock this one. The PS04-ESD fills a real gap for anyone working with isolated power systems where conventional earth fault protection isn't adequate.

Designed for inverter generators, UPS systems, IT isolated power and temporary power distribution, it monitors voltage potential rather than fault current and trips automatically when the earth frame potential rises above 36V. That means electric shock protection that actually works for the setup you're running.

⚡ If you're running a generator on site, this is worth reading.

Standard RCDs work by detecting fault current returning through the earth conductor. On an isolated power system like an inverter generator, that return path doesn't exist in the same way. The result is that conventional earth fault protection can fail to trip when you need it most.

The Powersafe PS04-ESD Earth Sensing Device is designed specifically for this situation. Instead of measuring fault current, it monitors voltage potential between the connected system cabling and the sensor. When that potential rises above 36V AC or DC, it trips automatically and disconnects supply to downstream equipment.

It's a standalone device installed between the power supply and the load, after an RCBO or MCB. DIN rail mount, compact, and it can still trip to isolate downstream fault paths even when a fault occurs upstream.
