Everyone likes a before and after photo shoot, and this one is a particularly tasty one 😋. It's been ages since we have had a breakfast date at The Fat Cow Food Co 🐄, so it was great to be back.
We have a busy day ahead of us cutting and packing the first month for the 'Wildflower Lane' Block of the Month Quilt. Thanks to everyone who jumped on and ordered it so quickly. If you haven't ordered it yet don't dilly-dally as there are limited sign ups available.

My new 'Wildflower Lane' Quilt is now finished and to say that I love it is an understatement.....I love love ❤️ it!
It will be available as a Block of the Month.....or is that Row by the Month 🤔😁.... from the 1st November, however you can sign up now on my website to avoid missing out. It is an eight month program and includes all of the fabric for the quilt top, borders, binding, fusible shapes (where applicable) and the patterns.
The fabric arrived this afternoon, so the cutting and packing for Month One will start tomorrow.
This is exclusive to Gum Valley Patchwork, and not available elsewhere.

It's a cutting and packing day today in the shop. We are finally getting the kits made up for the 'Village Life' quilt.
They will be up on the website and also available in the shop.
I will be back at 5pm for my Live@Five on my page. The new 'Wildflowers' fabric has arrived and the 'Wildflower Lane' Quilt is finished, so I will be revealing all of the details at 5pm. See you then. Cheers Linda

A little Wednesday night stitching.
The new 'Wildflowers' fabric collection by Gail Pan is on it's way to me, so it's time to get the new Block of the Month Quilt finished. Details will be released very soon.

October 2026 Newsletter, Gum Valley Patchwork -

Hi Everyone Welcome to my October newsletter. It's been a very busy (and fun) start to the final part of the 2026 year. I had a lovely time leading the group of ladies for our second Craft Tour to Sydney, followed 10 days later by our third Craft Tour to Hobart. The weather was perfect on both tours...

I was up early this morning to get ready for our third and final Sunday Sewing Day for the It's in the Bag drive. The first job was a big batch of scones for afternoon tea. Sixteen ladies attended with another six unable to attend. All up over the 3 days, sixty attended with $1,200 raised. This alone is enough to put together at least 24 bags. The ladies also donated many items and cash, so I know that will boost that number as well. Thank you to everyone who attended, and I plan on having more days next year.
It was home to mow the lawns before the weather turns tomorrow. The apples are starting to flower, and it looks like it's going to be a great year for apples 🍎. The bees 🐝 and moths were very busy not only on the blossom but also on my buddleia.
Mr Blue Tongue was okay and a first for the season.....but the Mr Tiger Snake was a less welcome sight, and also a first for Spring 😬.

You can never underestimate the impact of what the gift of one bag will make.
This year we are on track to make up and gift 80 bags to Share the Dignity and their It's in the Bag drive. Today is our third and final sewing day to raise funds to top up the products that we need to achieve this amazing tally.

It's been a while since I posted a TBT photo. It's been a busy few weeks (or months 🤔 😂) for me, and it's about to get busier.....if that's even possible!
Today's photo was taken on the 11th October 2023 on our first day in the shop at Timboon. Can you believe that it's been 3 years since the big move from my shop at Cooriemungle. Time goes fast when you are having fun....and yes I'm still having fun 😁. Having fun buying new fabric, stitching up shop samples, serving lovely customers, and rearranging the shop just to annoy Russell 🤣.
I will be back at 5pm for my Live@Five on my page. Lots of fabric to show you.....Christmas fabric; Flannel fabric; Tilda widebacks; new kits plus more.
