Do you use your modes on your TM6 or TM7? Do you have a favourite?

I would say my most used is the pre-clean mode 😆but my favourite is probably the thickener mode!
Those that know me well, know that I LOVE hollandaise sauce!
Before I had a Thermomix I never even attempted to make it… it just seemed too hard! Now it is so easy! And soooo much better than the bottle stuff that cafés are charging an arm and leg for!

I love that with the thickener mode you just throw all the ingredients in and set temp (flour as thickener set 100°C, egg as thickener set 80°C) and it intuitively knows how long it needs to be the perfect consistency! Just think how easy it is to create sauces, gravy, Béchamel, curds and custards 🤤

So which of these are thermie made and which are ones I’ve purchased at a café? Which did I make? A or B?

Kitchen Confession Time!

We all have kitchen fails… and if you say you don’t, I’m calling your bluff! 😂

Sometimes it’s user error. Sometimes it’s dodgy ingredients. Sometimes it’s the wrong temperature, a forgotten step, or confidently following a recipe while completely ignoring one crucial instruction. 🤦‍♀️

And then there are those moments when you carefully prepare leftovers to freeze… only to discover them still sitting on the bench the next morning. 😭 What a waste!

This was my discovery this morning!! I had even taken the time to label it!! 😫

Misery loves company, so let’s hear it… What’s your biggest kitchen fail? Burnt dinners? Salt instead of sugar? Forgotten ingredients? A meal the dog wouldn’t even eat? 🐶😂

Which was your favourite cake in the Women’s Weekly Birthday Cake book??

Mine was the swimming pool cake! I remember my mum making it and then many years later I made it for my friend’s daughter!

Cookidoo now has a few of the favourites in a collection!

Had a great time at a demo yesterday, exploring all the ins and outs of the TM7! We cooked up a delicious gluten-free feast and everyone sat down to enjoy it together. 🍽️

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that the men at demos often ask the most interesting questions! They’re usually very focused on precision, accuracy, and how everything works—which always leads to some great conversations.
