Meet Pink Elegance

A fresh name for one of our classic favourites.

Formerly known as Seraphin, Pink Elegance is everything we love about traditional floristry, soft pink blooms, beautiful seasonal flowers, lush greenery and plenty of colour and texture.

This one headed out for delivery today, and it was the perfect reminder that while we’ve been having plenty of fun creating our new contemporary designs, we still absolutely love the classics.

Something a little different headed out the door today.

Vanda orchids, rich cordyline, chrysanthemums and soft roses, arranged with plenty of movement, texture and a slightly more contemporary edge.

We’ve been experimenting with some new ideas lately, and it’s great to see that influence finding its way into the arrangements leaving the shop every day.

Bold, asymmetrical and definitely not your traditional flower arrangement.

Meet Summer Daze

Something a little different has landed at Blooming Gorgeous.

Summer Daze is one of the first designs from our new contemporary range , created for those who want flowers that are a little bolder, a little more architectural, and definitely not ordinary.

Featuring striking tropical heliconias, bright sunflowers, premium roses and cascading orchids, Summer Daze uses layers of lush tropical foliage as part of the design itself , not simply as something to fill the gaps.

Big leaves. Strong lines. Bright colour. And plenty of personality.

This is a different style of floristry for us, and you’ll be seeing quite a bit more of it over the coming weeks as we introduce our new contemporary collection alongside the Blooming Gorgeous classics you already know.

There are some jobs that become part of the rhythm of your week, but never stop feeling a little bit special.

Each week, Blooming Gorgeous has the privilege of creating the floral arrangements for St Patrick’s Cathedral here in Toowoomba.

There isn’t usually a set recipe. Our florists choose from the beautiful flowers we have available that week, considering what will suit the Cathedral, what will last well and, most importantly, what will look beautiful in such a remarkable space.

Occasionally, when a wedding is being held at the Cathedral, we also have the opportunity to work with the bride’s chosen colours for that weekend, which makes each arrangement just a little more personal.

It’s one of those quieter parts of what we do that most people probably never see.

But walking into St Patrick’s and seeing our florists’ work sitting either side of the altar is something we’re very grateful to be entrusted with each week
