Smooth rocks wrapped with fine leather cord, or waxed linen thread.

Another custom order shawl on the loom...
Pima cotton warp with baby alpaca and silk weft... both yarns and SO soft!!!
Using my 80cm with 10dpi reed.
Another epic project bit it will be so worth it!

Current project on the loom....
Organic fair trade Pima cotton with raw silk (scarf) with some multicoloured highlights
Waiting for some yarns to arrive for a couple of custom order wraps. Can’t leave a loom just sitting! A weaver’s got to weave!!

Latest scarf off the loom... a velvety blue/black wool blend with black Mohair, and a thick black Mohair selvage.
Feels so yum!

Latest scarf off the loom... Cotton and handspun Eri Silk (Peace Silk)... the spaced warp gives a lovely open weave and soft drape.

Some new scarves dropped off to Tree-O Furniture Gallery yesterday 🥰

Latest scarf off the loom...
Hand spun Tussah & Eri Silk warp with mulberry Silk weft and a couple of H.emp strands in the selvages for added strength.
I love the colour variations in the Tussah & Eri Silk, and the variations in texture. Always makes something interesting 🥰
This is so light!

Latest scarf off the loom.. teal Cotton with dyed purple/blue Silk. Both yarns used together for warp and weft with a solid teal selvage.
Soft and slinky with a lovely drape, and (of course) long tassel fringe.

New on the loom... cotton and silk scarf... such gorgeous colours! 🥰

This scarf had different ideas for how it wanted to be.... this is my 3rd start on it.
I had the natural linen warp on the loom, and was going to use a fine handspun silk for the weft but it looked a bit muddy, so I tried a different toned silk, and it looked muddy and too busy with the tone variations.
So! I chose a very similar finer linen, and now I'm happy.
Linen is not an easy fibre for a warp. It has no give, so tension has to be just right... Goldilocks 😊
I think it'll make a lovely scarf, though.

It’s SO good to be weaving again! 🥰
This is a scarf with a black warp with grey and blue stripes (wool) with a blue Mohair and wool weft.
I was asked numerous times at the artisan market if I had any more blue scarves. A great colour palette for men and women.
