Dining upgrade - open plan in the sense it’s sharing the space with the kitchen, though it can be closed off from the remainder of home for nights of entertaining.

Designing a kitchen and dining upgrade. Using the existing colour palette, mindful of the existing stone bench tops and the difficulty to find the exact stone to match (each slab will have different variations), trialling the look of contrasting the existing polytec Prime Oak cabinetry with a dark timber benchtop for the island.
Also, love a wallpaper feature wall 👌🏻 Milton & King

Here’s to cooking in a kitchen that looks like a kitchen 🧑‍🍳

Our home was initially built as a “temporary” build, but as things progressed the home plans changed and the home got larger. Our kitchen is a basic L-shape with open plan dining and living.
Ideally we’ll renovate one day and I’ll get more bench space and a larger oven, but other than that I like my kitchen looking like a functional kitchen. I don’t mind that my dishwasher and fridge aren’t integrated. That my sink isn’t hidden in the butlers pantry. For everyday life as a family of five, I like that our kitchen looks like a working kitchen but designed in a way that expresses who we are.
