A little note from us đ€
And this one is hard to write.
For 2Âœ years, we have tried our absolute hearts out to keep our cafĂ© pricing as low and competitive as we possibly can.
Weâve absorbed increase after increase behind the scenes because we know the cost of living is affecting everyone. We know that your morning coffee, breakfast with a friend or little treat on the way to work all adds up, and increasing our prices was something weâve genuinely been putting off.
But eventually, the math just stops mathing.
Tomorrow, youâll notice an increase across our cafĂ© menu.
Thereâs one thing I really want to make clear when we talk about rising costs, wage increases and superannuation are worth every damn cent in my eyes. Our staff are the heart and soul of Botanical Style. They are the faces that greet you in the morning, remember your coffee order, ask about your kids, make you laugh and work incredibly hard to make this little place what it is. And goodness me Iâve waited a long time for this perfect little team we have!
They deserve to be paid well. One thousand percent. đ€
But as a small business, when wages rise alongside super, insurance, electricity, freight, rent, stock, WorkCover and seemingly everything else required just to open the doors each morning, there comes a point where we simply cannot continue absorbing it all.
Weâve reached that point.
And I have one little favour to ask.
Please be kind to our staff.
They donât set the prices. They havenât made this decision. So if you have thoughts about the increase, please donât direct them at the beautiful people standing behind our counter. Direct them at me. The buck stops with me, and I will always happily have that conversation with you.
We donât expect everyone to understand every decision we make. But I hope you know we havenât arrived at this one lightly.
Behind Botanical Style isnât a big corporation or shareholders.
Itâs our family.
Itâs our beautiful staff.
Itâs local jobs.
Itâs our suppliers.
And itâs a little business that weâve poured an enormous amount of ourselves into, while raising a family and navigating fifo life.
Weâre doing everything we can to make sure weâre still here serving you for many years to come.
To everyone who continues to walk through our doors, grab a coffee, buy a gift, tell a friend about us or simply cheer us on from the sidelines we thank you.
It means more to a small business now days than you probably realise đ€
