Glazier/Carpenter– Service & Re glazing

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Glazier to join our team specializing in service work, repairs, and re glazing across residential and commercial sites.
About the Role
This position involves a variety of glazing tasks including:
• Broken glass replacements
• Re glazing windows and doors
• Service and maintenance work
• On-site measuring and fitting
• Aluminium window and door repairs
You will work independently and as part of a team delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Requirements
• Experience in glazing/service work essential
• Ability to carry out re glazes efficiently and safely
• Current driver’s licence
• White Card preferred
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional presentation

About the business and the role

SGA manufactures, supplies, installs & repairs a range of glazing solutions for their residential customers, and services the inner & outer suburbs of Townsville QLD.
We are looking for a qualified glazier who is reliable and highly motivated to join our small local business.
Our current workload is increasing by the day, and we are after someone that would like to work with a friendly and family orientated team. Whether you have just completed your qualifications, have a few or many years’ experience or would like to scale back from running your own business, we would love to hear from you.
This position is offered as either a permanent full time (40 hours per week) or part time (4 day - 32 hours per week), with possible overtime and occasional weekend work.
Applicants must have a valid and current driver’s license, smart phone, basic PPE and tools.

The job tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Daily communication with the Director
● Direction of all site crew including subcontractors
● Attending various job sites across a day/week
● Liaising with customers and taking payment
● Cutting glass and aluminium frames
● Repair work
● Manufacturing and installing of glass products, including shower screens, doors, windows, security screens, etc.


Skills and experience
● Trade qualified Glazier
● A team player with excellent customer service skills
● Domestic glazing experience (desirable)
The successful applicant must have the ability to work autonomously, be able to follow and give clear instructions whilst working as a member of a team and have good communication skills.
