The last few months have been so full of joy, creativity and learning - and this is just the beginning!

But let’s be honest, the last 17 years have been a journey of twists and turns, incredible wins and heart breaking loses. Making things with my hands and being creative has always been my North Star, my safe and happy place, a way to quiet my busy mind.

So now that this little business and Custom Embroidery done with care - TSV QLD - Meg & Elle both allow me to spend my days using my hands and making cool s**t is just so flipping cool!

Can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!

My 12th read for 2026 was a very different pace to what the last few books I read. I actually started back in 2024 but got distracted and never finished it.

This time I really enjoyed it. It was sad and I felt so deeply for the main character at times. But it was also hopefully and reassuring.

The Mother’s Promise, is a story of a single mother who is dying, her troubled teenaged daughter who struggles with social anxiety, and the two women who come into their lives at the right time - even if it doesn’t feel that way at first!

I love Hepworth’s story writing and the way she protrays complex emotions and relationships.

This was a solid 4 star read and it was a fast and easy read which is just what you want sometimes!

Learning how to use the industrial machines and all the cool things they do is one of the best things about working and learning from my mum at .

Another fun thing is being able to use those machines to make cool s**t!

I LOVE my new hat!!

Book #11 and holy wow! This one was tricky, I couldn’t put it down but I listened via audio book and I sometimes did zone out to what I was listening to and I didn’t always feel the need to go back and catch up.

That’s not a bad thing - there was just a LOT of ā€œgame playingā€ in the middle of the book.

The basic story of the book is an alien corporation invades Earth, wiping out most of the living creatures and repurpose the planet’s resources into a massive, 18-floor gaming dungeon.

The surviving humans are forced to fight their way through for the entertainment of a trillion-member galactic audience.

I loved it. I loved that it’s nothing like what I would usually read. But I’m not sure I’d recommend reading it unless you were a gamer or a bit of a gamer. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it so much it wasn’t for those two years I geeked out on learning Dungeons and Dragons.

The story is structured around video game and tabletop role-playing mechanics with health and experience points, character sheets, awards and prize boxes containing items you can add to your inventory.

It’s very funny, very well written and ends on a clif hanger so I think I’m in for the whole series now.

If I didn’t have a crazy goal to try and read 52 books this year (when I managed 4 in all of 2025) I don’t think I would ever have picked this one up and I’m really glad I did.

Solid 4 stars for me āļøāļøāļøāļø

Wow! What a whirlwind 36hours.

Yesterday I (Elle) went to hosted by two incredible entrepreneurs and powerhouse women .business and .

We heard talks and panels about marketing, sales, business finance as well prioritising health as a business owner, making brave choices juggling parenting and so much more.

The speakers were fabulous, the venue was amazing, the food delicious.

But the real stand out for me, as it always is when you are in a room with like-minded people is the connections and the chats had in the breaks! There was ZERO small talk at ripple, it’s all straight to ā€œtell me about what lights you up in your businessā€ and ā€œshare your challenges here so we can all help and assure you you are not alone in thisā€. The conversation flows from business to family to relationship and politics but it’s all deep and real and lasting. And for my AuDHD brain that is soul restoring!!

So grateful to have been able to attend, to have been inspired and encouraged by so many amazing business women!

Taking memories off your phone and putting them on your fridge seems like a simple enough thing - no big deal, right?

Well I smile ear to ear almost everytime I open my fridge now because I see my babies as they were many years ago, I see my eldest turning into an adult right before my eyes, I see family holidays and special occasions, friends who live too far away and loved ones no longer with us.

It’s simple enough - but it’s also completely life changing!

Make your space wondrous and bring your memories to life!!

What a tear jerker! This was a 4.8 out of 5 read for me I absolutely devoured it.

It’s about art, beauty, kindness, identity but most of all it is about people and their stories. It is about the heartaches and triumphs people endure. The loves and loses of life and the faces that intertwine in each others stories.

I cried big, real cries three times during this book and I’m not a big crier when I’m reading.

The characters got under my skin and I mourned the loss of all of them when I got to the end of the book.

If you liked The Correspondent I’d recommend this one (I like it better and I loved that one).

My next read is a very different vibe, so stay tuned!

My favourite ready-made magnet that we will have at .tsv’s market tomorrow morning.

My recovering from the busy Saturday will be a quiet Sunday with plenty of time on the couch with a book. I’m currently reading Dungeon Crawer Carl - by Matt Dinniman - and it’s a real page turner, and very different from last read which was Theo of Golden - by Allen Levi.
