After a full day of mowing 5 areas on our property, wipper snippering, weeding and covering fruit trees I was exhausted but this view last night after dinner was so worth it. To live on property means you are constantly thinking about what to do outside while also cleaning and washing inside. I have lists upon lists on my priorities and then I fit in 20+ hours of work a week. It’s a lot but there are times, like this that make it all worth it.

UPDATE on our kitchen space..

In October, we tried to finish our outdoor bbq space but the rain fell almost every weekend so we decided to start a small (haha) update on our kitchen. The benchtop we painted over 10 years ago was starting to show obvious signs of wear and tear so that was the starting point. We sanded it right back and then painted it a gloss antique white to brighten up the space and match our marble island bench. This took about 2 weeks as we needed the top to cure for a full week before we could use it again.
Next up was the cupboards. I wanted to buy some shaker profile ones from Bunnings but they were over $100 each and we had 20 different sized doors so very costly. I found a DIY on Pinterest using MDF and because James has a saw and a router we cut them out and glued them onto our existing doors. I painted them Half Olive Grove and then replaced the handles with the gold and wooden ones from . The counter top and tiles were painted using Renovation Range. All up it cost us about $500 and 6 weekends to finish. We still have a couple more things to finish in here but we love this new space! What do you think?

MIXI & BILLY got married!!!

Yesterday James and I proudly watched as our eldest daughter said ‘I do’ to the love of her life. These two organised a beautiful Wedding filled with love, laughter and lots of dancing!! More pics to come soon but wanted to share a few I took before the professional ones come through X

Mikayla’s Bridal Shower last night was so much fun! Lunch at and then Painting by blue light at while spending time with family and friends was just what Mikayla wanted! 4 weeks until the Wedding of the year!

Main bedroom update…
I have painted the dado panelling a beautiful sage green from called Half Olive Grove and it’s come up so beautiful! I also painted the bed in Cashmere which is a warm ivory bringing back its subtle look. The new rugs are from and and the new light shades are from
Still to come is the new bench for the end of the bed which will come once I sell this pink sofa and I’m looking for some lovely fabric to make new curtains for this room. Coming together nicely I think! Before and after shots for you:) what do you think?

On Wednesday it snowed on the farm! Not hail, but a watery sleety snow. In our 14 years here, we have never seen this! It was beautiful ❄️

My Mum and I booked a family photo session for my Dad’s 80th birthday in Hamilton Island in Jan. Five minutes before these pics were taken, it was pouring with rain! Lucky for us, the beach was deserted and we got some stunning pics. We didn’t even coordinate our outfits but we must have been feeling sea blue! Have you ever booked a photographer on holidays?

Mother’s Day 2025 was slow, beautiful and my soul was uplifted. I worked all day but when I got home, James had made me my favourite dinner and dessert, I got spoilt with some beautiful gifts, and my husband played Rummy with me and let me win a few! I surprised my Mum on Saturday night with a pop in, which went down so well! Loved this special day so much and love my family xx

16 of us tried to catch a fish out of the dam yesterday and only 1 that didn’t get away! James was getting a handful of chips when he sees his fishing rod starting to drag into the dam, so he dropped his chops and made a run for it and this is what he got for his efforts , pretty proud! Time to add some more fish to the dam I think!
