Kirra Beachfront Apartments | Kitchen, Dining & Living
The next chapter of this original beachfront apartment, held within the same family for over 30 years.
Part of a full interior renovation, selections & styling project, this space presented its share of challenges; angled walls, structural constraints & an unusual floor plan within an older apartment building.
The kitchen was transformed by removing a dividing wall & the original diagonal bench configuration, opening it into the dining & living areas & creating a much stronger sense of flow.
Across the apartment, warmer timber tones, earthy neutrals & layered textures were introduced through the finishes, furniture, lighting & styling to create a cohesive, relaxed palette.
And then there are the views.
With almost 180-degree views across the Gold Coast beaches & hinterland, the natural environment was always going to be the hero. This informed our restrained palette, nothing too loud or distracting, just warm timber, natural textures & soft tones that complement rather than compete with the incredible outlook.
The final layer will be the artwork : bold, colourful & full of personality, bringing a sense of fun & brightness to the otherwise soft, neutral palette. A finishing touch still to come.
With the client living remotely throughout the renovation, clear communication & detailed planning were key to bringing every layer together, from spatial changes & finishes through to furniture & final styling.
A complete transformation, thoughtfully designed around the apartment’s challenges & its extraordinary setting, with the hope that this much-loved family apartment continues to be a place for gathering, making memories & enjoying time together for many generations to come.
