Major update!
So much has happened in the last couple of weeks..
Firstly apologies for disappearing. I realised I couldn’t move the business forwards without getting the admin/accounting/freight situations sorted out. I also worked out that I just can’t work in the cabin. It’s too small and too cold outside now. No where to stage photos, store sold items, or packaging & postage materials efficiently… In Turramurra I had 3 rooms to work in.

To help me remedy the situation I found a young chap to help me reorganise (lift/carry/cull) the furniture that was piled up inside the house, clean up the worst most mouse/rat infested room and empty the front room. Near killed myself dealing with the filth but at least it is now clean and tomorrow we are moving Andrews office in to the second bedroom temporarily- till the dairy is cleaned out, renovated and set up for that purpose.

The front bedroom is now also sufficiently empty & clean for me to set up a workspace for the photo light box, plus a cabinet to display the jewellery in so I can see what I have AND set up a packing desk with everything required to safely pack your purchases. I still need to sort out my Auspost account - I need to be able to input your addresses and print labels - my arthritis is so painful I am finding it hard to hold a pen. Can’t wait to have a dedicated (if temporary) workspace office. I seriously underestimated how hard it would be to eat, sleep, cook, work and store everything in such a tiny space. Working out of boxes under the bed was a nightmare.

All that progress also means I can actually have a dining room and lounge. Not yet renovated but livable until I start the reno properly. No proper kitchen yet though.

I’m also happy to report that I finally have Xero up and running again! I will input all the sales so far and send your invoices next 48 hours. By then I hope to have the packing room and Auspost account up and ready.

On top of all that I had to go to Sydney this week to meet my brother and deal with the legal stuff, help my Son In Law to be sort out an engagement ring, go house hunting with them, see my youngest off to Europe (lucky duck) and also received some other wonderful news I cannot yet disclose. We did manage to get together for a celebratory dinner on Thursday night. I was very happy to get home late last night. My back doesn’t like couches.

The rain gauge is in danger of overflowing. It went up a mil in the 10 minutes I stood out there juggling the phone, the torch, the umbrella and trying to keep still for 7 seconds in the mud. I need to empty it but I am too short. Guaranteed I will only saturate myself if I do my usual trick of pushing it out from the bottom with a stick. It will have to wait for Andrew’s arrival - he’s on his way back from Sydney with groceries I have to pack away before bed.
