Gloss, Satin, or Matt, your perfect finish starts here. Matisse Final Varnishes (MM14, MM15, MM29) protect your artwork with a durable, non-yellowing coating while letting you control the final look.

- Gloss (MM14) has a rich shine and boosts colour depth
- Satin (MM29) has a soft semi-gloss and subtle glow
- Matt (MM15) has an ultra-low sheen and nearly invisible

Our Travel Exhibition is officially on the road! 🎨

Its first stop is at ArtSmart. Pop in and say hello to Cory and Sarah, the lovely duo who are always happy for a chat and would love to show you the incredible Derivan and Matisse ranges available in store.

The display highlights our much-loved Matisse range, featuring a variety of mediums alongside your favourite paints - Structure, Flow and Fluid. Topping it all off is our stunning header board, painted by an Australian artist and inspired by the diverse landforms of the Australian landscape.

Whether you’re dropping by for a browse, a chat, or simply to admire the display through the window, we’d love for you to come and visit the exhibition while it’s in Seaforth for the next couple of weeks.

Matisse Mediums ⭐

MM13 Fabric Fixative, or fabric medium or textile medium, is an acrylic medium designed to be mixed with acrylic paints to optimise their use on fabric. Mixing MM13 Fabric Fixative with Matisse Colours, preferably Flow Formula, you can create permanent designs on T-shirts or most other garments without investing in a whole range of fabric paints.

MM12 Clear Sealer
Clear Sealer is used to prime and protect surfaces before painting.

It can be used to:
- Seal porous materials like raw wood, terracotta, or brick so paint goes on evenly
- Prevent tannin stains from bleeding through wood
- Improve paint adhesion on tricky surfaces like glass, ceramics, and metal
- Keep natural textures visible, so you can paint while still showing grain or surface detail
