Lately, I’ve been reminded of how much oversized art can change a room - not just visually, but emotionally. There’s something about a large piece that instantly grounds the space and sets the mood without needing anything else around it.

Ok so I’m pretty excited about this ✨ something for the little ones ✨ arriving in July.

I contemplated for a long time on whether I wanted to paint a kids collection. But with the birth of my second, our beautiful baby boy Teddy, I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want his nursery to look and feel. And our gorgeous little girl Isla is 3 and growing so fast, and I’ve been thinking about how I can create a perfect little space as she grows from toddler to little kid, too.

And when searching for the perfect pieces of art for their spaces, I wasn’t able to find the exact style and colours I felt would take them through childhood and into their teen years. I wanted something high quality, that would last, (which is rare with kids purchases). I feel like they always grow out of things so fast and wanted their art to be special.

So, I made it. (Well, it’s still in progress, but I’m so excited about it I wanted to show you a sneaky preview now). It will be officially launched in July but if you do want to see the journey as I create the pieces (and get them kid approved by my little ones) let me know. There’s something special about art you live with. It reveals itself differently in different light. It settles into a room over time in a way a photograph of it can never quite show. It becomes familiar - and familiarity with a piece you genuinely love is one of the quiet pleasures of home.⁠
