Being a creative on the internet is a very specific kind of exposure therapy. One minute you’re creating something with your whole heart, thinking it slays, the next you’re hovering over the post button wondering if everyone secretly hates it and you should instead move to a remote farm and communicate only through sourdough.

I think because creative work is so personal, sharing it can feel oddly vulnerable. It’s not just ‘content’. It’s your style, your ideas, your eye, your soul on display for public consumption and algorithmic judgement. Which is why I’m trying to remember that not every post needs to be groundbreaking or perform perfectly. Sometimes it’s enough to simply share the thing you made and let it exist in the world.

MOTHER’S DAY - and why I’m sitting this one out…

Running a small business usually means my worlds of work and family blur together in a constant juggle. Most of the time I can make it all fit - this time, I can’t.

One of my girls has been selected to play both Netball in Canberra and AFL in Tamworth across the week of Mother’s Day. I’ve mapped it, twisted it, tried to outsmart it… but turns out I’m not actually capable of being in two places at once.

So, while it’s not exactly a savvy business move, it is a once in a lifetime moment - and it’s important I’m there to support her. Thank you for always understanding and backing me! - Lou x ✨🌸💛
