What a lovely order this was to do. I had proud grandparents to be bring in their pregnant daughter’s childhood pram to make up for her baby shower. Absolutely adorable.

What a roller coaster of emotions today in the shop.
A recipient trying to redirect me to a neighbours house because the flowers couldn’t be for her; she then read the card and after hugs explained the beautiful reason for her delivery. One of my regular customers who always chooses the flowers he wants put together for his wife while we discuss, the world, family, love, work and life announced with absolute delight that he’s going to be a dad and then I got a phone call that my first and favourite customer is in hospital with a real battle on his hands.
Floristry is so much more than just a job. We get to share the best and worst days and lots of ones in between with so many special people.

I love all the work I do but it’s no secret that funeral work is my favourite.
Last week I got to make a wreath to float on a loved one’s favourite lake. She has been gone 10 years but clearly never forgotten.

How special are mums💜🐞🌸
We all know times are really tuff at the moment but over the last three days I’ve seen that even when money is tight and the world seems a bit unstable we need to tell those we love just what they mean to us.
A man who rang and ordered and needed his mum to have her flowers Friday because she’s unwell and he wanted her to have them as soon as possible to enjoy, the man who rang from Tasmania and described his 87 year old mum as an earthy woman so could she please have natives with a bit of colour to represent her as a woman. I later answered the phone to the happiest lady who just kept thanking me and describing her arrangement like she was looking at a painting, I explained it was her son who knew her so well and what she loved. Her call made my day. It’s the kids who sent the flowers knowing how hard this Mother’s Day was going to be for one very special Nonna after her loss.
It’s the young man who bought the sunflower🌻 bouquet for his mum because all of his family have a tribute sunflower tattoo.
It’s not what you spend, it’s what love and what message you send.
It’s my kids delivering and serving and visiting and ringing on an adventure of a lifetime because this Mothers Day was hard. THANK YOU 💜🐞🌸
