Blue tree repainted!

Thanks to the assistance of Matt from All Coverings Painting, a local Two Rocks resident who has been a supporter of the blue tree since the beginning.

Thanks for donating your precious time, Matt.

In October, we're planning a gathering to celebrate the message Blue Tree Day was made to spread - it's ok to say you're not ok. In fact, sometimes it's the only way your friends will ever know. So make sure to have a conversation today and make sure your friends are doing ok.

Super disappointing. From this beautiful tree and fantastic taking point around mental health to a half tree.
Whilst waiting for the council approval for usage of a cherry picker at the park to complete the painting of the dead tree which raises awareness for mental health, they instead chopped it down.

The application was denied because 1 member said no to completing the tree.

The labour, paint and cherry picker was all to be supplied at NO cost to the council (well to us rate payers) but instead they used the council budget to pay a tree lopper to come and chop it down and take it away.

This tree will never grow back as it has been dead for years.

The local Yanchep men’s shed also made a wrap around bench to go around the tree, also pained blue, and the council have also said no to that.

Super disappointed that they are missing the whole point of the blue tree project. Shame on you city of Wanneroo

Super disappointing. From this beautiful tree and fantastic talking point around mental health (The blue tree project) to a sad half tree. What a complete waste and missing the point entirely.

Whilst waiting for the City of Wanneroo to approve the usage of a cherry picker at the park to complete the painting of the dead tree for The Blue Tree Project (symbolising that even when all seems lost, you can turn things around and make it bright and beautiful again) which raises awareness for mental health, they instead chopped it down.

Great to be part of this today.

Organised by the Two Rock Yanchep Residents Association over 18 months of applications, planning and covid. Will complete to the top once approval has been given for the cherry picker ✔️

The Blue Tree Project is a fantastic organization raising awareness for mental health.
