What to expect with Wool Carpets 🤔
You have searched high and low and have finally picked the perfect wool carpet for your home- what next?
As wool is a natural and staple fibre, wool carpet will naturally shed initially and throughout it's lifetime. This shedding is a typical process and does not affect the quality or appearance of your wool carpet. In order to care for your wool carpet and prolong its life:
- Vacuum regularly with a suction only vacuum. Avoid be**er brush or
power head style vacuum cleaners as this motion can create excessive fuzzing.
- Have your wool carpet professionally steamed every 12-18 months to revitalise your carpet and enhance it's longeviety.
- Treat spills immediately using a blotting or dabbing motion with warm water and paper towel/ tissues. Do not scrub or rub stains as this will alter the carpets texture.
- Expect tracking marks & footprints to appear on softer, more lusterous and longer the pile carpets.
