In 2018 we were announced as the world’s largest singularly owned Moorcroft retailer and we have one of the best collections of china and pottery in Western Australia and is definitely worth a visit. For the touring collector, our shop is in Waroona, a farming town over one hour South of Perth. The shop at 85 South Western Highway (cnr Millar st.) was originally the Bank Of New South Wales, built in 1935, it is now filled with good quality China, Antiques and Collectables. ✨ We are incredibly excited to welcome William J (Will) Moorcroft, grandson of William Moorcroft, founder of the iconic Moorcroft pottery, to our store for a very special in-store event.

🏺 Don’t miss your chance to meet Will, see exclusive Moorcroft pieces and experience the incredible Moorcroft heritage firsthand.

✍️ If you are lucky enough to purchase a Moorcroft piece at the event, or purchase one prior to the event, you will have the special opportunity to have your piece personally signed by Will.

🇦🇺 This is an incredibly rare opportunity. Will is visiting just two selected stockists in the whole of Australia, and we are very proud to be one of them!

A remarkable new chapter in the Moorcroft story 💙

For more than a century, the name Moorcroft has been associated with some of Britain’s most distinctive and collectable art pottery.

The story began with William Moorcroft, who developed the richly coloured, hand-decorated style that would become instantly recognisable around the world. His early work was stocked by names including Liberty of London, Harrods and Tiffany & Co., and in 1928 Moorcroft was granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Mary.

Through generations of the Moorcroft family, changing ownership, economic challenges and more than 100 years of production, the pottery continued to be admired for its craftsmanship, tubelined decoration and unmistakable designs.

Then, in April 2025, Moorcroft ceased trading and entered voluntary liquidation. For collectors and admirers of the pottery, it looked as though an extraordinary chapter in British ceramics may have come to an end.

Thankfully, that was not the end of the story.
In June 2025, Will Moorcroft, grandson of founder William Moorcroft, acquired the company’s assets and brought Moorcroft back into the founding family’s control.

His aim is to preserve the Moorcroft name, protect the traditional skills behind its pottery and continue production in Stoke-on-Trent.

It makes Will’s upcoming visit to Drakesbrook Antiques particularly special for us.

To welcome the grandson of William Moorcroft, and the man now helping guide this historic pottery into its next chapter, is something we are incredibly proud to be part of.
