There’s something about a little hexie flower that makes me happy. 🌸
I love stitching these sweet little flowers when I have a few spare moments, when I need a break from another project, or simply when I feel like playing with pretty fabrics and thread.

The Happy Love Quilt was born from that very love of hexie flowers! Each flower has a hexagon centre surrounded by jewel-shaped pieces that form the prettiest little heart-shaped petals.

Sixteen flower blocks are appliquéd onto background squares and joined together to create a sweet little quilt measuring 36" x 36".
It’s a lovely way to spend some time with your fabric stash, and I hope it brings you just as much happiness to stitch as it did to me. 💗

I've popped all of my pretty little bits into a basket to have on hand for my new textile book. I love having these baskets scattered around my house and studio, it's the perfect invitation to sit down and pull some pieces out to stitch, then pop it all back in until it's time to stitch again.

Hi Friends,
Hope you had a lovely weekend. I had a busy one doing some deep cleaning of the house and attending a friends 40th birthday party. Yesterday I took Leo to a reptile expo which was really cool. He is very in to Lizards and we have said he can get one for Christmas. It was good to see the different breeders and check out what they had, there were a lot of beautiful snakes! After that we popped by the garden center and I came home with a trolley full of herbs and plants which I planted out in the afternoon.

This week Lauren and I are putting the final touches on the companion, I've got two days of HSC supervision and will be working on formatting some of my patterns for printing.

There's a certain kind of happiness in gathering all the pretty things you might need for a new project. The fabrics, the threads, the lace, the scissors, the needles and a nice cup of tea.

Here is a collection of treasures I pulled out this week for a new textile/needle book. I am imaging this one to have a little stitched story woven through its pages.

A BIG hug and thank you for everyone who purchased the 2027 Patchwork Calendar. This was such a fun collaboration to be a part of and a thrill to have my Hexie Love Story Quilt sitting among the calendar pages with 11 other incredible quilts by talented designers. Big congratulations to Nic for all of her hard work and thanks so much for inviting me to contribute.
