Okay this EVERGREEN HYDRANGEA situation has officially gone next level 😂

These are the new release Trail Blazer Hydrangea that everyone has been asking about, and apparently unloading them quietly is no longer an option.

One minute I’m standing at the back of the truck holding a tray of them, next minute there’s a crowd forming, arms reaching in, people closing in and absolutely no respect for personal space 😂

We have officially entered next-level, straight-off-the-back-of-the-truck business.

Honestly, you’d think I was handing out Bruno Mars concert tickets.

And while everyone was fighting their way through to the new Evergreen Hydrangeas, a few other rather fancy passengers quietly rolled off the truck too.

So yes, the Evergreen Trail Blazer Hydrangeas are the new release stars of the show, but there is some seriously gorgeous company sitting beside them.

🌸 THREE GLAMOROUS LADIES ARE ARRIVING THIS THURSDAY! 🌸

Please welcome Pink Duchess, Pink Royale and White Princess.

Three spectacular dwarf ornamental flowering peach trees that certainly know how to make an entrance! 👑

🌸 Pink Duchess arrives dressed in masses of rich, dark-pink, multi-petalled flowers.

🌸 Pink Royale brings the romance with her beautiful, soft pink blooms.

🤍 White Princess finishes the collection in pure white, elegant, timeless and just a little bit fancy!

Despite their royal titles, these ladies won’t take over the entire estate. 😂

Growing to approximately 2 metres high and wide, they’re perfect for smaller gardens, along a driveway or as one spectacular feature tree.

They’re deciduous, love a sunny position and when spring arrives, goodness me, do they put on a show!

Pink Duchess, Pink Royale and White Princess will be making their grand entrance at All Seasons Nursery this Thursday.

P.S. Kim may have also slipped some rather fancy Forest Pansies and gorgeous dwarf lilac standards onto the order while nobody was looking, but we’ll save those beauties for another day!

AN UPDATE FROM PIGEON HQ

It’s been a massive week! Thank you to everyone who’s been inspired to sponsor a pigeon. From far away spots like Canberra, Mornington, Echuca and Penola, businesses, auxiliaries , clubs, families and individuals have enthusiastically become involved in this unique fundraising event. In just one day of this week we sold $10,000 in sponsorships! As of this moment, more than two-thirds of our pigeons are fully sponsored and the rest are half-sponsored. We now have just thirty-nine $150 sponsorships to sell and we will hit our $115,000 fundraising target for a new Prostate Cancer Detector System for the men of our region.

THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN PIGEON RACE - a partnership between South West Healthcare, the Warrnambool Racing Pigeon Club (celebrating its centenary during this event), Beyond Bank, and South West Local News – will see 150 pigeons race 320 kilometres across the Little Desert, the Grampians National Park and the volcanic plains of Western Victoria to the City of the Southern Right Whale next Sunday (August 30). That night, there’ll be a live telecast of the race results with serious prizes for the naming rights ‘owner’ and the sponsor of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 100th-placed pigeons to come on home.

OUR MOST PRESSING CHALLENGE NOW is to sell the remaining 39 sponsorships before COB this Tuesday – because, on the Wednesday, we run the sweep to pair pigeons with *their* people. Wednesday afternoon you’ll be able to find out what loft (there’s 11 involved) your pigeon comes from, and whether you’re one of the lucky people to have scored one of the 11 celebrity pigeons we’ve showcased here, on our FB feed, over the last couple of weeks.

Let’s address the elephant in the nursery.

Is Kim getting crazier by the week? 😂

If you’ve seen the Wacky Wednesday reels she makes the team perform, you probably already know the answer. And now, judging by these photos, she’s taking the whole team down with her 🤣

Maybe winter has finally broken us. Maybe spring fever has arrived early. Either way, the spring stock has started rolling in and everyone has completely lost the plot!

The girls were asked to choose their plant of the week.

Lizzie chose not one, but TWO Callistemon ‘Little Johns’. Apparently one little John simply wasn’t enough 😂

Lyds chose the beautiful, soft and innocent looking Angel Wings. We’re talking about the plant, of course, the jury is still out on Lyds 😇

Mandy chose the Lilly Pilly ‘Up and Away’, which is exactly what she pretends to do whenever Kim pulls out the camera. Lots of “nooo, not me!” while somehow still ending up perfectly positioned in every photo 😂📸

Then there’s Kim with the pencil pines. When you’re only 153cm tall, surrounding yourself with the tallest plants in the nursery is cheaper than therapy 🌲🤣

We may have all lost the plot, but the nursery is slowly coming back to life. We’re not full yet, but week by week we’re shaking off winter and loading up for spring.

And despite all evidence to the contrary, there is still one thing Kim has completely under control, what’s arriving over the coming weeks:

🌳 Ornamental trees
🍎 Fruit trees
🌿 And plenty more!
