The long term inspiration for my recent automatons is who have been in existence since the late 1970s. Oh, to be able to visit their latest exhibition in Aberdeen!

Annie is currently developing a workshop to teach how to make automata. Using simple mechanisms, she’ll teach how to incorporate movement into your creations.

A big thank-you to everyone who visited my open studio yesterday. What a terrific day! I met so many lovely people and really appreciate all the interaction, feedback and of course some great sales too.
I was so busy, I only remembered to take photos of these 2 ladies happy with their purchases. I’d love to see any photos of purchases in their new homes. Just send via Messenger or email [email protected]

This Fantasy Garden automaton is almost finished. Just a few simple adjustments to make, including finding the source of that little squeak! It will be ready in time for next Sunday’s Stirling Open Art Studios event at Settlers Art Studios where I’ll have different works including more automata and paintings in various styles.
