Wentworth Falls Pottery This is a page for Wentworth Falls Pottery, the studio of Steve Sheridan. He is a potter specialising in glazes utilising locally found materials.

I am committed to the integrity of materials. To my mind the magic of ceramics stems from the process of transformation: the gathering together of fragments of rocks, ashes and clays, and blending them in mixtures which are then melted in the searing heat of the kiln to produce objects of fragile beauty for the delight and use of man – this is the potters art.

The pottery is just carrying on carrying on while we wait for the Great Lockdown to run it's course... the shelves are full with pots crying out for new homes. Hopefully it won't be long before we can welcome visitors, and return to the markets. As a distraction, I have kept busy with a few garden projects, building a bird-proof frame over the new vegetable beds...Meanwhile, if your shelves are feeling the need for some new pots, please visit the online Shop in my website, stevesheridan.com Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you at the markets, Orange Grove and Northside, or visiting the showroom. currently, the Australian Ceramics Open Studios is still on track to occur on November 13 and 14.
