Layering a mirror with a bar cabinet is one of the easiest ways to create a space that feels both elevated and inviting. Start with your mirror, this is your statement piece. Whether it’s oversized, arched, or has a bold frame, position it just above or slightly overlapping the bar cabinet to create that seamless, layered look. If you want a more relaxed vibe, try leaning the mirror against the wall for an effortless, styled feel.

On the bar cabinet, think curated, not cluttered. A sculptural tray, a stack of books, or a small lamp can instantly add depth and personality. Balance is everything. If your mirror is bold, keep the styling below more minimal. If the mirror is simple, you can have a bit more fun with textures and shapes on the cabinet.

Finish it off with something organic, fresh flowers or greenery to soften the look and bring life to the space.

Think of wall art as the soul… and lighting as the mood.

If you want to transform a room without a full makeover, focus on two things: wall art and lighting, they don’t just decorate a space, they define its mood. Whether it’s soft abstract prints, bold statement pieces, or minimal line art, what you hang on your walls shapes the entire vibe of the room. Large-scale art creates impact, a gallery wall adds character, while colourful pieces energises the space. Then add lighting to make a room feel cozy or cool lighting to feel fresh. The right lighting makes textures glow, colours pop and the whole room feel intentional.

Small space. Soft mood. Big comfort.

You don’t need a big room to create a cozy escape, just a soft corner made for slowing down. Start with comfy seating, like a compact armchair, add layers for texture through a fluffy rug, cushions, bring in your favourite artwork and ornaments. Keep lighting warm & soft, I've chosen a small but decorative art light for this.

Whether it’s for reading, journaling, or to simply chill out, keep it simple and uncluttered so it feels peaceful, not crowded.

A bathroom designed to slow you down with calming blue encaustic feature tiles bringing pattern, depth and a sense of calm, while earthy tones ground the space and add warmth. It’s proof that bathrooms can be more than functional, they can be soulful, serene spaces you actually look forward to spending time in.

It's the perfect time of the year to bring the indoors outside... long days, warm evenings and that effortless flow from inside to out. Think comfortable seating, layered textures, soft lighting and spaces designed for lingering. Outdoor living should feel just as inviting, relaxed and you as the spaces inside your home.

There were two objectives, firstly to create a space that was warm but also full of colour and secondly to create an open space for easy living. Through a modern contemporary style, warm tones of greys and greens against the bright colours of oranges and pinks created the perfect balance of warmth and brightness. Bold brass features in the side tables with tones of warm oak in the accent chair added elements of modern style. The arrangement of the sofas against walls and windows opened up the room for easy flow of living. Sofa is Freedom Panama, rug is Freedom Cabarita, accent chair is Freedom Den.

Focal points within a room can emerge both by design and by accident. In many living rooms, elements like a television or a striking piece of wall art naturally draw the eye and serve as visual anchors. In this space, the standout feature is a truly captivating artwork—painted by a talented Sydney-based artist—that brings personality and depth to the room. Thoughtfully chosen focal points like this can elevate an entire space, adding character and cohesion. If you're looking to transform your home with intentional design choices, I’d love to help you bring your vision to life.
