Harbourview Fairlight Project // Master Ensuite
The first thing you notice in this master ensuite is how quiet it feels.
For our Fairlight clients, we wanted the ensuite to be a place you ease into at the end of the day. A soft, slow retreat tucked inside a busy family home. So we carried the curves from the rest of the house through into this space, starting with the wall sconces and shower heads…softening the walls and edges and warming everything with gentle timber tones. Nothing sharp, nothing rushed.

The walls are finished in microcement in its most textured form. It brings depth and a beautiful tactile quality without adding colour or visual noise, which was so important in a space designed to feel muted and relaxing. Brushed nickel tapware runs throughout, sitting softly against those gentle hues and giving the whole room an elevated, considered finish.

The mirror was placed to catch and reflect that incredible harbour view, so the water is part of the room from every angle. Behind the calm, there’s generous cabinetry, so the everyday things have a home and the benches stay clear. A sanctuary only works when it’s easy to keep that way.

The tiles were a very considered choice. I selected them from Barefoot Tiles in Manly because they bring interest without overwhelming the space. In a room designed for rest, every finish needs to earn its place quietly.
A bathroom should do more than function. It should help you exhale.

Every bedroom I style gets the same two finishing touches, and neither of them adds clutter.

A bedroom should feel like exactly that. A bed, room to breathe, and nothing competing for your attention. I keep it pared back every time, but there are two pieces I’ll always make space for, because they give the room soul without giving you anything more to manage.

A beautiful chair. Somewhere to drop a throw, pull on your shoes, or sit quietly for a moment before the day begins.

And artwork that settles you. It’s the last thing you see at night and the first thing you see in the morning, so it should feel like an exhale.

Everything else in the home can work hard. The bedroom is where you come back to yourself.

Powder Room // Fairlight Project

The smallest room I’ve worked on yet, tucked just off the kitchen. What it lacked in floor space, it gave back in height, and those ceilings became the whole strategy.

When space is tight, I lean into illusion. The tiles stop partway up the wall to draw the eye upward, and the textured walls above carry it the rest of the way. Curves became more important here than anywhere else in the home: a curved mirror to bounce light and open the room, and a sage cylinder basin to soften every line.

A recessed, rounded niche replaced the need for a vanity or bench altogether, freeing up precious floor space without losing function.

Then the light. Organic, circular and completely stunning. My client fell so in love with it that we carried it through to the master ensuite as well. It was the final layer of luxury in this teeny tiny room.

The timber door brought the warmth home.

Small rooms don’t ask for less thought. They ask for more.

The kitchen at Fairlight is quite literally the centre of this home - the space my clients and their family gather in more than any other - so it needed to work harder than most.

We built the benchtop out at one end to create more seating, and shifted the flow of the room to face the entry rather than the back door, so walking in feels like arriving somewhere, not passing through it. Storage was designed to disappear entirely — every cabinet concealed, so the space stays calm and uncluttered no matter how much life moves through it.

The stone we selected sits beautifully against the timber and dark floors, lifting the whole room with light while keeping the warmth and texture that carries through the rest of the home. This was never a kitchen designed to be looked at. It was designed to be lived in

Fairlight reimagines contemporary coastal through curves, warm timber, and considered contrast - a home shaped as much by feeling as by form.

This three-storey waterfront townhouse was reimagined with a very clear purpose - a home that could grow and flex with family life, with room for everyone to have their own space as well as their own time together.

The architecture came with striking black floors, and rather than fight them, we chose to work with them -layering in warmth through timber tones, rattan and considered art to balance that depth. Curves were carried through every piece we selected - the kitchen bench, the cabinetry, the coffee tables, the chairs -softening the architecture’s lines rather than competing with them. My clients wanted a home that felt warm and welcoming, not cold, and every material and furniture choice was made in service of that feeling.
I was engaged from the very beginning, working alongside the incredible team at Gartner Architects and Avalon Builders, to bring the interiors and styling to life in a way that felt true to the home’s architecture from the outset. Each room was styled with restraint and intention .

Swipe through the whole home.
