This is an acrylic painting of my guinea pig Wye. The copper metallic in the background helps focus the attention on the tricolour guinea pig with his black, white and brown hues.

T his painting is one of my classics - howling wolf with different patterns on its body. The background is a rusty red, and the wolf is a violet purple.
It works very well with the colours and makes the whole picture quite striking.

Bright colours still for this one - in watercolour. Boldness and harmony are the core features in this picture.

Here we have some pretty pink Echinacea flowers. They don't last too long in my garden though because they make a delicious cup of tea!
The darkness in the background is enhanced with computer editing, and this helps to sharpen the key focus on the flowers.
This photo was taken on St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly.

Dearest Funghi, the famous bottlenose dolphin that I got to see in Di**le Harbour back in 2017. No one has seen him since 2020, but the memory of him, wherever he might be, will live on still.

Here we have a photograph of Blackbury Camp, which is an Iron Age hill fort in Devon. This photograph captures a sense of character with how the trees are in a line, but that they themselves are not quite straight. The lightness of the area exemplifies the darkness of their trunks.

It's starting off all nice and rosy today!
We are going for something different this week - photographs! This is a beautiful yellow rose, with good lighting and focus on the rose.

I'll say it - as light as a feather. The original is black, which was done in acrylic but this one has been changed to grey using computer software.
Sometimes simple is best, and that is true with this.
