A little Friday kindness 🌸

Something lovely happened at our Wodonga container this morning.

A gentleman from Club Lime on Elgin Blvd just down the road popped in and purchased a beautiful bunch of flowers, not for himself, but for us to gift to someone in our community. 🥹

How lovely is that?

As a small business ourselves, we know how much local support means, and we absolutely love seeing other businesses spreading a little kindness.

So today, we’re going to surprise one lucky person with a beautiful bunch of blooms, thanks to the generosity of Joshua Dehelean 💐

If you’re looking for a new gym, head over and give them some love!

Feeling so much gratitude as we head into a new week 🌸✂️

This last week has been full of the most beautiful and stunning arrangements that the florists have crafted and what is amazing is how two never look the same!

Every week, new flowers, new creativity and I am always in awe of the fantatsic job our florists do. So a huge shout out to our florists Leisa, Neva, Mel & Simone. Check out some of their fabulous creations this week and some of our hampers 🌸

Turns out we’ve been growing something a little extra special behind the scenes… 🌿🤍

Our littlest bloom is joining the Thistle & Fern family in April 2027. 🥹

Baby #2 is on the way, and we couldn’t feel more grateful to be growing our little family. You may have noticed we have been a little quieter on the socials as this little bub has really taken it out of me 😅

Augustus is being promoted to big brother, Glen my husband is preparing for even more beautiful chaos, and Mum will be navigating flowers, motherhood and two little ones under two. 😂🌸

A very special new season is ahead for our family and for Thistle & Fern.

Our sweetest little bloom, coming April 2027. 🤍

There’s something pretty special about Waratah season ❤️🌿

These beauties have been grown locally by our wonderful grower Mel from Outback Yack Flower Farm Yackandandah and when they arrive looking THIS good, they deserve their moment.

Big, bold and unmistakably Australian, Waratahs are one of those flowers that make a statement all on their own. We absolutely love being able to fill the shop with flowers grown right here in our region and support the talented growers behind them.

A few exciting things happening behind the scenes…

I’ve welcomed some extra help on board at OBY, giving me more hands and a little more breathing room. Stay tuned for introductions.

And… I’ve officially levelled up my invoicing game.
Invoices will now be sent on the day of delivery, I will be more organised, more professional and one less thing for me to procrastinate over.

Small business wins, but BIG milestones for OBY.
