Where the ocean meets the sand… 🌊🏝️🐚

When I first saw this colour-way, I was immediately drawn to it. The colours perfectly reflect the best days I have spent at the beach, with the sand giving way to light foamy water, transitioning into beautiful turquoise waves, and finally the deep blue of the open ocean.
This was my first adventure into clasped weft weaving, I had the vision of what I wanted this to look like, and surprising, it actually came out fairly close to what I had pictured! There are certainly plenty of lessons I learned in this process, and I am keen to try another clasped weft project soon.

My biggest piece so far… ‘Cascade’. Currently hanging at in the Up Against the Wall Exhibition, now until 21st March 😊....

I have officially moved in!! Simply Obsessed Creations now has a permanent spot at the Illawarra Craft and Art Network (ICAN) shop in Port Kembla at the Red Point Artists Association. I’m so excited to have a space I can display in, and a wonderful community of artists to hang out with.
Come down and have a look, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
