My incredibly talented friend Tanya made me these gorgeous floral cupcakes and honestly, they look like actual flowers. 🌸🧁

She is SO talented with cake decorating - the detail is incredible.

She is taking my Thermomix for a spin over the next few days, so I’m very excited to see what she gets up to with it! 👀💚

Oh gosh 😂 I came across this video saved in my phone today and it cracked me up.

This was 2021. He was TWO. And apparently the lasagne could not come out of the oven quickly enough.

“NOWWWWW!” 😂😂

Clawing at the oven door.
Completely beside himself.
Because apparently waiting 5 minutes for lasagne was simply NOT an option.

And then… the payoff. 😂👇🏼

A big plate of lasagne & salad… and that happy little face.

Five years later, this little guy is STILL probably the most likely of my kids to get hangry - but it also made me smile thinking about how much our everyday food habits start so early.

I’ve always loved feeding my kids real, delicious family food from the beginning. Not making a separate “kids meal”, not needing everything to be beige, and not treating vegetables like something they have to be bribed into eating.

Just normal food.
Food we all eat together.
Food that tastes good.
Food that becomes familiar.

Because I think one of the best things we can give our kids is a normal, positive relationship with food - and it starts with what they experience around the family table again and again. 💚

And honestly… if this is the reaction to homemade lasagne, I think we were onto something. 😂
