Some of the most considered spaces in a home are designed around the smallest daily rituals.

And one we’re asked about constantly? Coffee.

From a dedicated coffee station concealed behind pocket doors, to integrated appliance zones, considered storage for accessories, filtered water, lighting, power and benchtop space — the best solutions are about far more than finding somewhere to put the coffee machine.

They’re about creating a moment.

A space that makes the morning feel easier. A ritual that becomes part of the architecture of the home. And a design that can be beautifully on display — or disappear completely when the coffee is made.

Because great interior design isn’t only about how a home looks.

It’s about understanding how you want to live within it.

Creating spaces you want to come home to, and mornings you want to wake up to.

Designing a beautiful home isn’t about spending more everywhere. It’s about knowing where the investment will have the greatest impact.

We took to the streets at Saturday Indesign, and asked our design community where they would splurge and where you can confidently save when planning your interiors.

Our takeaway: Invest in the elements you touch, use and live with every day - key materials, appliances, lighting, and pieces that shape the way a space feels and functions.  Then be strategic elsewhere. Not every finish needs to be the most expensive option in the room, and often it’s the balance between considered investment and clever restraint that creates the most resolved result.

Good design isn’t about an unlimited budget.   It’s about knowing where to best utilise it.

"Creating spaces you want to come home to.”

We see potential where others see limitations. Reimagining spaces and visualizing possibilities is what we do best — tailoring every detail to the way you live. Drawing on our depth of industry knowledge, we bring architectural sensibility to each project, ensuring spatial flow, materiality, and buildability are considered from the very beginning.

The home bar.

No longer an afterthought, the bar zone has become a considered extension of the living space — somewhere to gather, entertain and create a sense of occasion at home.

From integrated joinery and statement stone to concealed appliances, ambient lighting and beautifully detailed shelving, it is a relatively compact space that can bring an incredible amount of personality to a home.

Recent visualisations from a range of our projects (contemporary to traditional) explores exactly that — transforming an underutilised area into a destination of its own.

Because the best homes are not simply beautiful. They are designed around how you want to live.
