SHALLOWS: Primary Suite Robe. Once cramped, cluttered and lacking functionality, this wardrobe has been completely transformed into a calm and highly organised space designed for everyday living.

Every item now has a dedicated place, with custom cabinetry concealing belongings to create a clean and streamlined finish.

Thoughtfully divided into his and hers zones, the layout allows for effortless organisation while maximising storage throughout.

To further elevate the space, a skylight was introduced to flood the wardrobe with natural light, creating a sense of openness and airiness that simply wasn’t there before. The result is a wardrobe that not only looks beautiful, but functions seamlessly for the way our clients live.

Enjoy the before and after transformation shots!

SHALLOWS: This Rumpus Room was completely reimagined to better connect with the home’s overall character and lifestyle. A dividing wall was removed to create a more open, inviting layout, allowing natural light and sightlines to flow seamlessly throughout the space. At the heart of the redesign, a new fireplace was installed to anchor the room and introduce warmth, atmosphere, and a sense of permanence.

Custom banquette seating was incorporated to maximise functionality while creating an intimate and relaxed setting for gathering, reading, or entertaining. The design draws on subtle nautical influences, layered through texture, colour, and detailing, giving the space a refined coastal personality without feeling overly themed.

Every selection was considered in relation to the surrounding rooms to ensure the home felt cohesive and connected. Materials, tones, and finishes were intentionally carried throughout the interiors, allowing the Rumpus Room to feel like a natural extension of the broader design narrative. The result is a space that feels welcoming, timeless, and deeply integrated within the home as a whole.

HAI LANG RESIDENCE: Mudroom. A key feature for this Mudroom was that it had to accommodate our homeowners’ pets. This was an important aspect of the brief: to provide a space for the dogs to sleep at night and so this middle plinth island bench was created to lay their cushions for their rest times.

The benchtop above is quite practical for attending to the meals and water bowls for the pets. On the far side of the Mudroom is a customised washing and drying station for the pets. On the left-hand side, the dogs can be washed from head to toe and on the right-hand side is designed so that the pets can dry off. Adding to the design, we have installed pull-out hand showers so that the sinks can be cleaned out after use.

SHALLOWS: This Lounge Room has a warm, contemporary coastal feel with a strong focus on texture and natural materials. The feature wall combines vertical timber battens in a soft oak tone with a chunky stone-clad fireplace, creating a balance between refined detailing and organic ruggedness.

The fireplace is designed as a dramatic architectural element, recessed deeply in black metal which gives contrast and depth against the pale stone surround. The asymmetrical layout feels intentional and modern, with the TV integrated neatly into the batten wall rather than competing with the fireplace. All the electonics are hidden in the panelling.

The palette is very neutral and calming: sandy beiges, creamy stone, warm timber and black accents, which gives the space a relaxed, high-end aesthetic. Floor length sheer curtains add an extra element of softness.

A stunning pendant can be seen hanging over the Entry void.

This Lounge Room is the kind of space that relies less on colour and more on materiality, scale and texture to create interest.

FRANCIS RESIDENCE: Exterior. Some homes aren’t just buildings: they’re stories. If you’re renovating, ask yourself: what story does your home already tell, and how can you preserve it?

We recently completed this exterior renovation of a prominent Art Deco home in the Illawarra, and projects like this are a reminder that great design deserves to be protected, not replaced.

Preserving heritage isn’t about holding onto the past: it’s about respecting the craftsmanship, character, and identity that make a home truly timeless.

In a world of quick updates and trends, thoughtful renovation means working with the architecture, not against it. Because when we maintain and honour these details, we’re not just improving a home, we’re safeguarding a piece of history for the next generation.

RIDGE RESIDENCE: Main Bathroom. Our client arrived with a clear and confident vision, seeking a moody, romantic, old-world aesthetic. The design draws on rustic, historical European influences with a soft, feminine edge. The challenge was translating this darker, traditional inspiration into a refined, contemporary space.

The final result is a deeply personal, indulgent retreat: romantic, moody, and richly layered in material and detail. It functions as both a practical daily bathroom and a private sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation. Designed as a luxury spa for one, the space reflects the client’s long-held dream and rewards her patience with a timeless, immersive environment.

SHALLOWS: Full Home Renovation. This home, originally typical of its area and era, underwent a complete facelift to enhance both its aesthetic and functionality.

Overall, the project highlights how strategic spatial planning and thoughtful design can significantly elevate both the liveability and character of a home.
