It Started With One Impossible Corner

Hi! I am Jae, Owner and Designer of The 4th Corner.
Making the bed had always been frustrating. Then an operation on my arm made pulling a traditional cotton fitted sheet over the mattress impossible.

I tried to find the solution online but pull tags didn't solve the problem, oversized sheets weren't the answer either.

So I pulled out the sewing machine and after countless prototypes, The 4th Corner was born: a premium cotton fitted sheet with flexible corner panels that make it genuinely easier to put on and a corner tab in the top left hand corner to ensure I place the fitted sheet on the right way the first time!Because sometimes the simplest everyday problems are the ones worth solving.

That 1200 Thread Count' sheet set It's probably not what you think.

Many brands twist several thin threads together and count each one separately to inflate the number. Ours is genuinely single-ply 400TC cotton sateen - the real ceiling before you lose durability.

Hotel feel, no marketing trick.

Did you know most people begin losing strength after the age of 30?

By the time we reach our 60s and 70s, everyday tasks that once felt simple can become surprisingly difficult.

Making the bed often involves:
• Lifting a heavy mattress
• Repeated bending and stretching
• Tight gripping and pulling force

It is one of the many everyday tasks affected by natural age-related strength decline.

If changing bed sheets feels harder than it used to, you are not imagining it.

We’ve just published a new blog exploring:
✔️ How strength naturally changes with age
✔️ Why fitted sheets become more difficult
✔️ The link between mobility, grip strength and independence
✔️ How small design changes can reduce strain at home

If making the bed feels harder than it used to, you are not imagining it.

The hardest part of making the bed isn’t the whole thing…

The lifting. The pulling. The effort.

The 4th Corner fitted sheets are designed to make it easy,
gliding over the mattress and hugging the sides securely,
with no need to lift the mattress.

Independence isn’t just about the big things…
It’s the little things we don’t talk about.

Like making your own bed.

For many people, that final corner becomes the hardest part, lifting the mattress, stretching, struggling… or needing to ask for help.

And that’s where something shifts.

Because losing the ability to do the small daily things
can feel bigger than it should.

That’s exactly why The 4th Corner was created.

So you can make your bed easily,
without lifting, without strain…
and without giving up your independence.

Because staying independent should never come down to a fitted sheet.
