Cats and Tarot Tuesday finds us with the Death card from the Rider Waite Smith deck. While it looks and sounds sombre, the death card is heralding a time when like all things in life, us included, will pass.

We've grown, lessons learned, doors are closed. It'll hurt because we've spent time and emotion within that space. All our energy has been in this space so it can be bitter-sweet leaving. Thing is though, we're ready to spread our wings, shedding a skin that while handy, is now too tight and needs to be left behind. We'll take the memories with us and lessons, but that's it. People, places and things may be left behind. You might be more than ready to move beyond this space as well, so it's not all doom and gloom. Of course the card can represent physical death as well, my condolences and sympathies are with you if that is something you're navigating at the moment also.

A bit different tonight for oracle Sunday as it's not an oracle card. A friend posted a video reading with the Devil as part of a two card spread. It's stuck with me as it felt like I'd heard the message before. I wanted to talk about the Devil card, a Major arcana card that the fool meets on his journey. The card looks almost the same as the Lovers card, but this time Bahphomet sits above the couple and they're chained. Thing about the chains though, is that they can be removed anytime they like.

This card represents the animal in us. Base desires and needs. Things that we seek out because that's what we're used to or think we deserve. They're addictions, comforts, people, places, that while they might feel normal, are no longer any of the things we were looking for. Yet we might choose them because we're used to that being 'normal' for us.

The people in the image can remove those chains whenever they like. Stepping away can be tough, make you feel vulnerable, make you feel good and like you don't deserve to feel good, but that's the way you end up putting those chains back around your neck. It's easier to keep them on when you're used to them, but you deserve better. Take them off when you're ready.

The Tower comes after the Devil; sudden upheaval... After that, the Star; hope and healing. Things ebb and flow, YOU get to decide where you want to be and how they make you feel and if it's not good enough, you get to decide again.

Cats and Tarot Tuesday: from the art nouveau tarot comes the Empress. Funny timing as I posted an image of the Empress on my own page yesterday and about ten seconds after I pulled this card, my sister sent a photo of her new grand daughter. She used to always get the Empress when she'd ask me in the past, each time she had a child on the way, so she stopped asking, lol.

The Empress heralds time where you are being asked to connect to your feminine side and take the time to be creative or to spend time looking after yourself or others. She represents abundance and nature and fertility, so connecting to the outdoors may be something you've been meaning to do, this card is your sign. A space to create and grow, building yourself up. This is a space where the time is spent on you, so whatever it is that that may mean for you, get into it! Caring, nurturing ideas, others, yourself. This card is calling you to invest in the things that fill and nourish you.

Sunday Oracle: From the Ascended masters oracle we find El Morya wanting us to shield and protect our energy. You can call upon El Morya to uplift and shield your energy. You can also do it yourself in various ways. One way that's quick and easy is to cross your ankles when in the presence of someone, (physically in front of you or even online), who is stealing your energy. Some don't know they're doing it, others are fully aware.

Crossing your ankles cuts off their access to your energy and you'll notice very quickly, they'll ask what's wrong, or they'll cut their interaction with you short. (Any body part crossed will work, my experiences have been with crossing my ankles). Calling on a golden light to surround you and doing so while you're showering can renew and cleanse and also be a good daily habit. You can use a white light, but that can act like a beacon, ask me how I found that out!

Friday funny: raises an eyebrow in suspicion...

Speaking of strange houses. For the locals to me, I was going to set up a stall at the front this week, but I would have been swept away in the torrential rain. Keep an eye out though, as when the weather is a bit more stable, I'll set something up.

Cats and Tarot Tuesday finds Justice demanding I turn the card over after it insisted while when I started shuffling. Quite fitting after the shocking news coming out of the US.

The Justice card is about truth, cause and effect, the law. It's asking you to be aware of your choices, and to be accountable for them when the time comes. Right now, is your moment for pause before jumping in. Are you comfortable with what you're chosen? How it may make you look. Even if the actions you've taken are regretted, taking responsibility will see you regarded with fairness. 'I've done/I'm doing this because...' Awareness is key, there's no accident, this is what you've chosen, can you justify the good or bad outcome and take ownership?
