Hubby Wayne Smith Metal Sculpture will have a few sculptures on display at Sculpture in the Vines exhibition, Pemberley Winery Pemberton, April 18 - 24.

We're thrilled to announce that Sculpture in the Vines is back for 2026!

The exhibition will run during April, set amongst the stunning autumnal vines at Pemberley of Pemberton.

I hate waste! One way of using up left over paint on the palette is to tape off some good, heavy watercolour paper into card sized squares and continue the abstract landscape over onto the card. Once the paint is dry, I may then work further into the design with other mediums. It's always exciting taking of the tape to see the reveal!

So question... Do you keep slightly wonky cups from a firing for your kitchen cup cupboard because you love the glaze, shape and volume. And then, when people come over for a cuppa, you have a drawer full of slightly wonky cups to have their beverage in? Do you think, they would think 1. Doesn't this person value my friendship enough that they offer me these less than perfectly round cups? Or 2. I love these wonky cups! 😜

Last batch of wool drying, cake baking, now it's time to tidy the studio for the felting workshop tomorrow.

After a week of spreading paint from one end to the other on this new abstract, plus dyeing 8 batches of wool. It's time to clean up and get ready for a wet felting workshop on Saturday.
