Crochet Australia Crochet Australia is an on-line business specializing in all things crochet. Crochet Australia specializes in all things crochet.

We aim to provide crochet information and a wide range of quality crochet books, hooks, threads and crochet supplies at an affordable price, not only to Australian crocheters, but to crocheters all over the world. We also stock a range of knitting, candlewicking, tatting and hardanger books and accessories. We run regular crochet classes to help you increase your skills, as well as learn how to crochet. We ship to anywhere in Australia using Aramex Couriers or Australia Post. We are open for visits Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 3.00pm and the first Saturday of each month between 9.00am and 12.00pm. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of crochet, our range of items, and speed of delivery. All orders received before midday on a regular working day are shipped that day. If you can order an item on our website and we don't have it in stock, you'll get $10 towards your next order (same dye lots for all items exlcuded). Crochet Australia started with just Craft Moods and Paragon publications, some threads and a few hooks in early 2002 with Vicki and Ray Moodie. I then bought the business in 2014 when I decided that after 25 years of being an accountant, I needed a change. The business was then relocated to Yandina, in the Sunshine Coast, on the east coast of Australia in Queensland, just over an hour drive north of Brisbane. What’s in the bag? Absolutely everything, apparently!

Our November class is here, and it's a good one. Learn the beautiful Mochilla crochet technique with Lynda as you create the gorgeous Hibiscus Charm Purse.

The Hibiscus Charm Purse can be made in two sizes: small enough to use as a coin purse or longer to hold a pair of glasses. And yes, you might have spotted the cute anchor purse in the video too; however, that’s just to show what the smaller size looks like. The class pattern you'll be making is the beautiful hibiscus design! 🌺

During the class you will also learn how to create your very own Mochilla design and how to attach the purse frame, so the possibilities really are endless!

Just look at what our students have created! 😍💜

These stunning lampshades were made in our September class, and we are absolutely blown away by how beautiful they all turned out. The way they glow when illuminated is truly something special.

So many of you had your own stories to share, and it became clear that AI-generated content is just one of a number of frustrating situations crocheters are facing when shopping for patterns online.

That gorgeous crochet pattern you just found online might not be what it seems!

AI-generated crochet images are getting incredibly realistic, and unfortunately we are now seeing patterns being sold online for projects that simply don't work.

A customer came into the shop recently after purchasing one. When we looked closely, the images didn't look real, and the pattern itself included directions for stitches that don't even exist in crochet...

What she had tried to make looked nothing like what was advertised.

Before you buy an online pattern, look beyond the pretty picture. Check who the designer is, read reviews from people who have actually followed the pattern, and trust your gut if something feels off.

A few quick checks can save you a lot of money, yarn, and hours of frustration 😊
