This is Sumiko & Varuna, aren't they heavenly?
I'll tell you the story of how we met.
I am a bridesmaid for a gorgeous friend of mine this coming May, and as an engagement present, one of their friends gifted them a Kikki K wedding planning workshop - which the groom politely refused to attend, so guess who was bought along instead.
I remember sitting in this wedding planning workshop with my friend Nicole, and the poor retail assistant running the lesson asking everyone to go around the circle and explain what they did for a living before we got started (I got the serious sweats and thought about lying and saying I was an accountant instead) - sure enough it came to me and I explained I was a wedding planning and stylist (i've never seen anyones face drop so quickly) - but rest assured I was just there for moral support that night.
Sitting in that workshop across from me was Sumiko, this beautiful ball nerves who explained her fiancé and herself had a fairly intense few months with lots of things going on within their families. She explained she was attending that night to try and spark some excitement and fun into her day as up until that point she hadn't really had a chance to see the joy behind the planning process.
We hit it off straight away, and the next few months followed with numerous coffee dates, texts, emails, phone calls and lots and lots of joy.
Sometimes as a wedding stylist, you find it hard to let go of couples. Throughout the journey they become more like friends than clients. Im catching up with these two for lunch next week, I think I just might hang onto them forever 😘
