Fascinating to see the progress of the portrait that Alvina is painting at Open Studios 2025. These are progress pictures from day one - we are looking forward to day two and hope to see you at ArcYinnar between 10 and 4 today.

Today we are off to set up at ArcYinnar for Open Studios 2025 - it will be good to catch up with all the artists there and hopefully find time to have a wander through the current exhibition. I had a sneak preview of the reference photos for the portrait that Alvina is going to paint - it will be beautiful, and I am excited to see its progress through the weekend. I had a bit of fun making creepy stuff for Halloween this week too! Good luck to everyone taking part - and hope artists and visitors have a great weekend.

🎨✨ Meet Valerie at Arc Yinnar during the Open Studios weekend - 25th and 26th October.
Working mainly in acrylics, Valerie explores a wide range of subjects. Her art often reflects the environment, especially where man-made structures and materials intertwine with nature and history.
Alongside this, she is developing a thought-provoking body of work about Plastic Femininity—a series she’ll be working on throughout the weekend.
